AFGHANISTAN

A multi-agency NSOI delegation began the NSOI engagement with Afghanistan by holding a videoconference with a broad-based Afghan delegation in February 2008. The Afghan delegation promised to provide a written response to the points raised in the meeting by the end of March. A follow-up meeting to negotiate the joint action plan and the list of priority assistance projects in Afghanistan will be scheduled as soon as practical. NSOI will begin to solicit donors for the priority assistance projects as soon as the joint action plan is approved and signed.
