NSOI first engaged Georgia in June 2006 and signed a joint action plan with the Government of Georgia in February 2007.

The joint action plan includes 50 priority steps to improve Georgian capabilities; half of these steps involve ongoing efforts that need to be completed, and the other half involve new efforts that should be undertaken.

The joint list of priority assistance projects includes 1 project on radioactive sources, 5 on border and internal detection, and 1 on forensics.

The current fact sheets for Georgia can be found here.  The fact sheets contain all relevant information about the purpose of the projects, the recipient ministries and agencies, the specific needs to be addressed, the activities to be undertaken, and the final objectives of the projects.
